A: All full-time employees are eligible for PTO. Part-time employees, temporary employees, contract employees, and interns are not eligible to accrue PTO.
Q: When do I accrue Paid Time Off and how much PTO do I accrue per pay period?
A: PTO is accrued as you work. PTO is not earned in a pay period during any leave of absence, suspension, unpaid leave, short or long-term disability leave, or workers’ compensation leave. PTO accruals begin on day one of employment. PTO taken will be subtracted from the employee’s balance in one-hour increments. Eligible employees will accrue PTO based on the following schedule:

A: Yes, you can carry over 20 hours of unused PTO into the new calendar year.
Q: Can I submit a PTO request for the next calendar year?
A: No, PTO should not be submitted for the next calendar year. If you need PTO at the beginning of the next year, please communicate with your supervisor.
